Alcohol should be packaged correctly to prevent any damage or spillage. Bottles can be fragile, so packaging is essential when transporting the alcohol from A to B. Plastic tax is a new tax that applies to plastic packaging produced, or imported into the UK that does not contain at least 30% recycled plastic. From April 2022, businesses who have liability under the tax will need to submit data to HMRC each quarter covering the tonnage of liable packaging manufactured or imported.

Avoid shipping the alcohol in extreme weather temperatures, in summer it’s best to use an insulated box to transport the alcohol, so the temperature is controlled. Reinforcement should be placed at the bottom of the box to increase the stability of the packaging. The delivery label should also be placed at the top of the box to avoid charges in the package’s orientation.
